The Tallest Man on Earth

About this event

Swedish singer-songwriter Kristian Matsson, better known as the Tallest Man on Earth, has a rare talent for captivating an audience with nothing more than his raw, grainy voice and a guitar. Over the past 19 years, he has taken that spare, spellbinding approach around the world, building a devoted following one rapt room at a time. His songs are intricate and literary, his delivery urgent and unguarded—the kind of performance that turns a single voice and six strings into something far larger. After years in New York City, Matsson returned to his native Sweden, and for a time the touring life quieted. Near the end of 2021, as he began to perform again, inspiration returned with it, revealing what would become his 2023 record Henry St. Written in that renewed momentum, Henry St. finds Matsson examining his own stubborn optimism and wrestling with how to be a person in this world, and it stands among the warmest and most open-hearted work of his career.
